Truman has 2 Confirmed Pregnancies! We are so proud of Truman's show record - 3 fleece shows-3 championships! This plus he has taken home the very coveted award of Judge's Choice - out of every single fleece at the show, the judges agreed Truman's was the nicest! Truman comes from only Accoyo ancestry, and very impressive ancestry it is! His dam is Accoyo Venice, a maternal granddaughter of Victor and a paternal granddaughter of Royal Fawn. Venice comes by her Royal Fawn genetics through her sire, 4X champion, 11X blue ribbon winner and 3X get-of-sire winner, Accoyo Maverick. Truman's sire is Accoyo Stratosphere, a 5X blue ribbon winning Legacy son who has more than 40 champion cria on the ground. In short Truman blends Victor, Royal Fawn and Legacy genetics. No wonder he is so beautiful! Truman is a very consistent medium fawn. Both his dam and sire are fawn. His sire has produced black cria, and there's a darn good chance his dam covers black as well. Truman should be able to produce dark, perhaps even black cria. His phenotype as well as his geneotype suggest this. Truman's gums and toenails are dark and he has dark points, all thought to be signs of the capability of passing darker color. Truman also has a phenomenal look. He is covered from head to toe with beautifully soft golden ringlets. They are all around his face, down his legs, through his neck, in his tail, everywhere! His fleece is super-soft, dense, bright and has the bundling architecture judges and breeders so often look for. He has the very stout, strong, typey conformation associated with his Accoyo lineage. At Truman's very first show, he placed 2nd out of 12 behind the reserve color champ. Truman's Full Accoyo heritage, his Fawn color, & his Phenomenal fleece & conformation (& now his show record!) make us proud to list him as a herdsire of our farm. Elite, rare & colored full Accoyo genetics comprise our newest herdsire, Accoyo Zagot, who should be ready to breed this fall. At his very first fleece show, Zagot earned a blue ribbon (out of 7) and a COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP in lights! Elite - Zagot is a powerhouse of Accoyo genetics. He is a cross of 2 of the best Accoyo parents out there. His sire is the recently deceased El Nino, considered by many to be the best son of Caligula. El Nino was described by a prominent judge as "the perfect alpaca" and took the coveted title of All American Alpaca Futurity Herdsire of the Year in 05. Zagot's dam is Astillero, a 95 import who has clearly produced some of the best full Accoyos in this country - a full brother to Zagot, Francisco (4 time champion),Stratosphere (5 Blues), & Armando who stands stud at Hilltop Alpacas. Zagot's sire & dam have both had a tremendous influence on the national herd. We are anxious for Zagot to have such an influence on our own herd. Rare - Zagot's bloodlines are about as rare as they come. He is a medium fawn full Accoyo which is rare enough. He is the last in his maternal bloodline. His dam died when Zaggot was only 2 months old. His sire, El Nino, died just months ago. Zagot's heritage simply can't be duplicated. Zagot is 1 of only 4 fawn full Accoyos that El Nino produced. Color - There are a very, very small # of fawn full Accoyos out there to begin with. Zagot is a fawn out of 2 of the best white Accoyos available in this country. His sire has produced several dark brown & a true black cria & his dam has produced 2 cria from different sires that have thrown black cria. With Zagot's dark gums and nails, he has a darn good chance of producing dark cria himself. Zagot has his First Comfirmed Pregnancy. We are thrilled and can't wait to see his first cria. We have always been drawn to the gray alpacas.We have several gray females in our herd. Having always wanted to have a top gray herdsire, when given the chance to partner on Greymatter we were thrilled. Mattie has it all, his fleece is simply spectacular. It has a a great low micron and a low CV, wonderful buttery supple feel with a soft handle. These fleece qualities are quite rare in greys. His staple length is very impressive, with consistent tight crimp from skin to tip. Mattie also has very few spots on his blanket. Mattie's genetics are among the best in the business. His sire is Lancaster, owned by Flying Pony, whose genetics are so sought after, he has over 300 cria. Mattie is among only 6 grey males that Lancaster has ever produced. Lancaster's sire is Conan whom we've admired for years. Mattie's dam is a ribbon winner herself who has produced gorgeous cria including a Judge's Choice winner. Matties temperament is so mellow. You would never think that a breeding male would be so calm and relaxed on a lead. He is just a pleasure to work with. We love having him here on our farm and truly miss him when he is at one of our partners farms. **Mattie will have his first cria crop arriving this summer. He has 10 confirmed pregnancies. We are pleased to announce the addition of Sebastian to our Herdsire line up. Thank you Out of Sight Alpacas for allowing us to partner on this Spectacular Male. Sebastian is the Total Package! With Dense, Super Soft Fine Fleece, with a beautiful character, individual bundling, and a long staple length. His conformation is spot on, compact square frame, with strong bone, a gorgeous typey head with a perfect bite. His Sire, Annual's Bea-2 Bombers genetics are fairly new to the East Coast making Sebastian a good breeding choice to consider if you are looking to breed to Grey. He will be spending the summer here in NY and we anticipate him settling females this summer. Sebastian's show career started with a Bang in 2016! He was shown at halter 4 times receiving, 3 Blues, a Reserve Color Champion, and a Second Place to the eventual Grey Color Champion at his 4th show. He also received a Blue Ribbon in fleece at the PAOBA Show. Some of the Judges comments were: Packing a lot of fleece on his 15 month old frame ! Excellent density and brightness ! He's putting everything into growing that beautiful fleece ! We will be continuing Sebastian's Show Career in 2017 !!! Watch for Him in the Show Ring this Spring ! Sebastian's spring show results were equally impressive !! He placed 1st out of 10 at MAPACA. A very competitive level 5 show!! Sebastian also received three second place Ribbons. Two of which the First place animals went on to be awarded the Color Champion. Sebastion coming from the second row and awarded the Reserve Color Champion in each those shows !!
